Open to Collaborations
Indicators play an important role in helping ensure continued success of Austin and the region. One of the goals of A2SI is to enhance the usability of data to make informed decisions. Cultivating sustained collaborations with policy-makers, foundations and philanthropists, and other researchers is foundational to this endeavor. We welcome your interest in a deeper collaboration through the following ways:
- Survey design. Before fielding each survey, we reflect and revise survey questions as needs and opportunities change. We welcome collaborative efforts from researchers and other stakeholders. Some of the collaborators requesting additional questions help us secure funding for extending the survey.
- Funding. Collaborators and stakeholders with a strong interest in the indicators and using the data have contributed financially to the data collection and operational costs of A2SI. We welcome opportunities for investing in the project.
- Research and Writing. Where possible, we welcome collaborations around analysis and writing of indicator data collaboratively with a member of the RGK Center and affiliated faculty.
- Submissions. We encourage users of indicator information to submit analytic papers based on AIP data for possible publication as AIP working papers/policy papers/dispatches. Send submissions in MSWord format to Patrick Bixler, editor at rpbixler@utexas.edu.
If you would like to discuss any of these opportunities for collaboration, please contact our research manager at sip@austin.utexas.edu.
